WISCK-ers 10th Edition

Tis' the season for an update!!

What a year ...(& it isn't even over yet!)

As we collated all of our figures for this year, it really hit home JUST how busy we have been in 2022. Our areas covered included; Newmarket, Shawbost, Stornoway town, Harris, Bragar, Aird Point, Breasclete, Tolsta, Upper Bayble, Uig, Carloway, Galson, Barvas, Upper Shader, Garynahine and Sandwick....PHEW!!

It's now December and when we would usually be winding down, we still have 17 cats/kittens in foster. We think this is most likely due to how mild the winter has been so far, which has unfortunately resulted in cats still breeding.

This means that we have had to recruit M O R E fosters at a time of year that is particularly hard to recruit. We are also desperately looking for reliable pen cleaners, so if you know of anyone or are someone who is over 18 & could spare any one hour for one morning a week - please, please get in touch.

It's also been a busy time for some of our volunteers who have very kindly manned a WISCK stall at some of the Christmas markets. We had 2 days in the Back FC centre and we will be in the Town Hall on Mon 19th, Tue 20th and Wed 21st of December with plenty of arts & crafts on sale, WISCK goodies (including the popular WISCK Calendar) & some cat themed games for children. If you can't make any of these dates you can still buy our calendar from Maybury Gardens or directly from our website HERE.

As always, we would like to express our gratitude to every single person who has supported us this far. Every donation is so valued; whether it be monetary or physical cat related goods. We have been able to help so many cats because of our supporters never ending kindness & we can never thank you all enough. If you would like to take a look at our figures for the past 11 months you can view them on our website HERE.
